What burial options are available at Woodland Cemetery?

Woodland Cemetery offers traditional inground burials in single or double graves which can be purchased on an "as needed" basis. We do not offer pre-need sales. Burial are currently being done in a new section of the cemetery that is adjacent to the main vehicular entrance and offers easy access for visitation.

Does Woodland Cemetery have a columbarium for cremains?

Woodland does not current have a columbarium with niches for cremains. The Cemetery has a dedicated area for inground cremains burials that allow for a personalized monument that is appropriate for that need.

Does Woodland Cemetery sell monuments?

Woodland Cemetery (similar to all cemeteries under the supervision of New York State) is not permitted to sell monuments. We do work closely with monument companies and can offer a recommendation if requested. Single grave monuments can be no larger than 36" high, 24" wide and 12" deep.  Woodland Cemetery DOES NOT provide or maintain temporary grave markers and has no responsibility or liability for temporary markers provided by funeral directors or family.

Does Woodland Cemetery require concrete vaults or liners in each grave?

In keeping with our historic traditions, Woodland Cemetery DOES NOT require vaults or liners in the graves.  The Cemetery does encourage the use of such products and does not charge extra for their installation.
